The RMP-D8, featuring top-notch 24-bit 192kHz converters and seamless integration with Dante, brings a long-awaited treasure to the live sound realm: the unmistakable sonic excellence of Rupert Neve Designs.

The essence of the RMP-D8 resides in its modular mic preamp cards, which showcase the distinctive transformer designs crafted by the renowned Rupert Neve. In contrast to other Dante mic preamp designs that heavily depend on a single IC for both gain and tone, the RMP-D8 boasts eight fully-developed class-A microphone preamplifiers that power eight custom audio transformers. This ensures that the RMP-D8 upholds the exceptional quality standards set by Rupert Neve Designs' standalone preamplifiers.

The RMP-D8 sets itself apart from combination devices by prioritizing converters. With meticulous attention to detail, the 24-bit/192kHz converters have been fine-tuned over the years. The internal clocking is precisely controlled, and jitter reduction is enhanced, ensuring that the mic preamplifiers or line inputs can capture the complete range of performance. In the audio path of the RMP-D8, there are no weak links.

Features:

SIGNAL CHAIN The signal chain consists of 8 mic/line inputs that provide 48V phantom power, polarity reverse, input pad, and high-pass filter controls.

GAIN The gain section features 1dB-stepped class-A mic preamplifiers with 60dB gain and the ability to be controlled remotely.

CUSTOM TRANSFORMERS Each channel in the signal chain passes through custom Rupert Neve Designs transformers, delivering the iconic larger-than-life tone of Rupert's classic modules.

CONVERSION The conversion process utilizes 24-bit / 192kHz Mastering-Grade Converters with precision-controlled internal clocking and enhanced jitter reduction.

POWER SUPPLY To ensure reliability, the system is equipped with ultra-reliable, redundant power supplies that can operate anywhere in the world.

NETWORK For enhanced reliability, the system offers Dante integration with a secondary redundant RJ45 network port. OUTPUTS The system provides 4 dual-channel AES outputs on XLR connectors, with gain-compensated secondary output. DISPLAY Featuring a large OLED display, the system offers full local control and accurate, easy-to-read meters.

APPS AND COMPUTER INTEGRATION The system is compatible with Dante Virtual Sound Card and Dante Via, allowing for direct computer integration.

ROBUST DESIGN Designed for rugged touring use in challenging environments, the system features a reinforced steel chassis for enhanced RF shielding.
